Strategic Combat with Classic Arcade Flair

Metal Slug Tactics is a turn-based tactical combat with elements of the famous Metal Slug series action and robust systems at command. Every mission drops players into a grid-based fight arena with destructible surroundings and numerous possibilities of triggering explosions. The act of dragging characters on the map, setting them properly for the next cover, and tricking enemies are critical for survival. Similarly to the original Metal Slug, runs and guns are heavily encouraged, though players are now expected to think about what they are doing in a series of beautifully designed confrontations that are as tense and varied as they can get. These subtle changes are enough to make the game move from simply being a horizontally scrolling arcade shooter and place tactics in its formula that were not present before. Diverse Characters with Unique Abilities

All the traditional protagonists from successive Metal Slug games are back in Metal Slug Tactics – Marco, Eri, Tarma, and Fio, to be precise. All the characters’ different abilities and preferred weapons are exactly as their initial letters: Marco is all about the powerful shooting that can destroy enemy units, and Fio is able to heal teammates so they will be ready for the next battle. Maintaining the strength and power of each character and synchronizing their stunts and combinations is the only way to stand the rains of increased difficulty. The new abilities, together with upgrades unobservable during the course of the game, give the player more room for strategy, and the combination of abilities of squad members can produce devastating results. Roguelike Elements and Replayability

Extending the idea of the well-acknowledged tactical gameplay of the series, Metal Slug Tactics also uses roguelike features: each campaign run is random and filled with various surprises. The maps, enemy placements and the objects of missions themselves are changed. However, the challenge does not cease with this as the player approaches the game with a rather fresh view of it every time he or she plays it. While levelling up, players gain abilities, equipment, and even cars that transfer onto subsequent raids, providing some feeling of progression.
